Last Spring the West Orange community was shocked and deeply saddened when Nikhil Badlani, a sixth grader and music student at Thomas A. Edison Middle School in West Orange,was killed in a car accident on Wyoming Avenue in South Orange in June. The community rallied around the family to support them in their time of tragedy and in his memory, a 5K Run/Walk will be held to benefit the Nikhil Badlani Foundation, which hopes to help children pursue their dreams in music and academics and to raise awareness for traffic safety.
The 5K Run/Walk and 1.5K Fun Run will take place at West Orange High School. $15 for adults, $10 for children ages 6 to 18; Sunday at 10:00 a.m.; West Orange.
