COMMUTER PARKING SMART CARDS FOR USE AT THE NEW JERSEY TRANSIT LOTS AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE

    Beginning on Monday, September 12, 2011, Smart Cards will be available for initial purchase at the Office of the Maplewood Township Clerk, Maplewood Municipal Building, 574 Valley Street, Maplewood.  Smart Cards may be used instead of cash at the New Jersey Transit Lots in Maplewood (to the right of the Maplewood Train Station on Dunnell Road and at the corner of Baker Street and Maplewood Avenue).  The initial cost of the Smart Card is $30.00 which is payable by cash or check.  The cost for a daily parking space is $3.00.  Cards are reloadable directly at the machines.  Please note:  exact change only, the machine does not give out change.  Maplewood residents and non-residents are eligible to purchase a Smart Card. 

   The Clerk’s Office will be open on Saturday, September 17th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for those wishing to purchase the Smart Cards.  In addition the Township Clerk’s office will be open on the first and third Tuesday’s of the month until 7 p.m.  For questions, contact the Clerk’s Office at (973) 762-8120.
