All the schools have re-opened as of this morning, and many residents have regained power. Roads are also getting cleared of debris and downed wires.

As of 11:30 a.m., November 3, the PSE&G outage map shows that Essex County continues to be the most adversely affected county in the state served by PSE&G — with upwards of 10,000 customer outages remaining. However, Maplewood is listed as having between 1 and 500 outages (South Orange, on the other hand, still has 501-2000 customers without power, according to the map).

Those without power can continue to make use of the DeHart Community Center on Burnett Avenue which is open as a warming center. The libraries are also open and have been a popular place to warm up have coffee (the Main Branch has a machine that actually will make you a vanilla latte!) and recharge your laptop and/or cell phone.
